Car Of The Day… Riley 9 Monaco

The car of the day today is the wonderful 1929 Riley 9 Monaco.

 

 

The Riley Nine was one of the most successful light sporting cars produced by the British motor industry in the inter war period. It was made by the Riley company of Coventry, England with a wide range of body styles between 1926 and 1938.

Car of the Week… Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

The car of the week this week is the perfect Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe.

 

 

 

The Carrera was available in rear and all-wheel drive versions. It was equipped with the naturally aspirated 3.6 liter M64 engine, further developed from the 964, and combined with a new dual-flow exhaust system now incorporating two catalytic converters. In contrast with most of the other variants, production of the Carrera coupé and Cabriolet ceased with the end of 1997 model year, except for a very few produced in a shortened 1998 model year.

The car of the week is this gorgeous MGB GT.

 

 

The original concept of the two seater open sports MGB was considered ahead of its time in 1962 and still had not dated after production ceased in 1980 when the last MGB rolled off the Abingdon assembly line. Over half a million examples of the car in its various guises were produced, making it the best selling MG of all time.

INTRODUCING… Jordan Thomas

 

AIB warmly welcomes Jordan Thomas to our Sales team. Jordan will be working closely with Sales Director, Kirby De Gray Birch, developing all aspects of a long established, fast growing insurance broker.

 

As part of his focused training, he will be dealing with all aspects of motor, van and home insurance. In addition, he will be working across other departments developing his overall knowledge including working within our Renewals and Customer Service department.

 

Jordan was born and bred in Braintree, Essex attending Alec Hunter Humanities College. He studied Medieval History at Winchester University, graduating with an excellent first class honours degree. 

 

 

FAST FACTS: 

A veritable book worm, Jordan enjoys reading Japanese literature and has a book signed by the brilliant, bestselling author, Haruki Murakami. A lover of sports and the outdoors, he also enjoys playing golf and plans to join a football team. He played for Colchester United youth team and wants to put the skills he acquired to the test. Jordan’s excellent university degree was presented to him by none other than lovable national treasure and horticulturist, Alan Titchmarsh.

INTRODUCING… Ben Simpson

As our successful team at AIB continues to grow, we would like to extend a warm welcome to Ben Simpson. Ben joins our administration team working with Administration Manager, Megan Greer.

22 year old Ben was born and bred in Chandlers Ford, attending Toynbee school before going to the University of the West of England in Bristol, where he studied marketing. He will be a strong asset to our ever expanding team, applying his sharp skills in marketing to the business.

FAST FACTS:

Ben used to be a Cub Leader and was a knife and axe mentor.One of his passions is the appreciation of fine rum. Ben loves to go camping and possesses natural survival skills and knowledge. Watch out Bear Grylls!

His friends and family believe he looks like Roddy – the upper class, loveable, Kensington dwelling rat from the hit animated comedy, Flushed Away. A very random look-a-like, but he’s a good looking rat nonetheless!

Introducing…..Ronnie Randall

We are proud and pleased to announce our latest new team member. Ronnie Randall joins our sales team working with Sales Director, Kirby De-Gray Birch.

Ronnie has worked within the insurance industry for eight years, in both personal and commercial insurance sectors and previously worked for well respected high street brokers, A-Plan Insurance. She has a passion for non-standard home and high net worth motors. Her knowledge and natural love for exotic vehicles has already stood her in good stead – in her first week she insured a Ferrari and a McLaren on the same day! Motor heaven for our skilled new team member.

FAST FACTS:

Multi talented Ronnie is also a fully qualified barber. Her own hair is apparently seasonal – in the winter she goes dark and in the summer she is blonde!
Ronnie started her career within the travel industry, notching up 13 years experience working for big players, Virgin and TUI.
Ronnie is married with one little boy, aptly named Reggie.
Small in height, big in personality, Ronnie stands at a compact 5ft 1½ inches – apparently the ½ an inch is extremely important!
